Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use URL to MD without an account, we do not collect any personal data. Your converted markdown is generated server-side and returned directly to your browser.

When you create an account, we store your email address and any converted files you choose to save. Pro subscribers also have their Stripe customer ID stored for billing purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only:

• Authentication session cookies (Supabase) - These keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled while using an account.
• Cookie consent preference (localStorage) - Remembers your cookie choice.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

Third-party services

• Supabase - Authentication and database hosting (EU/US)
• Stripe - Payment processing for Pro subscriptions
• Vercel - Application hosting
• Resend - Transactional email delivery (job completion notifications)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention

• Free accounts: converted files are stored for 14 days, then automatically deleted.
• Pro accounts: converted files are stored indefinitely while your subscription is active.
• Anonymous conversions (no account): no data is stored server-side.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
